New-Tech adds new Quality Compliance Manager
May 2008 As New-Tech doubled in size netween 2004 and 2008, the need to refine quality and procedural SOP's grew. Courtney Long joins New-Tech with a strong Quality background and an MBA in Management. She also brings passion for change and improvement. With a stellar track record for leading quality initiatives and managing multiple projects, she looks forward to using her experience, capabilities and judgment to take New Tech Packaging to its next level of success. Customer Saves $80,000 by Adjusting Box Size 
March 2008 Yet another customer is realizing significant savings
by adjusting the size of one of their shipping cases. This electronics giant routinely ships reels of electronic computer chips. Through a packaging audit, New-Tech discovered that by changing the product orientation the carton size could be reduced, moving it below the threshold for dimensional weight charges. After performing ship tests with the newly designed carton, the customer reported that $80,000 will be saved annually as a result of this change and has asked New-Tech to evaluate other packages for further savings.
New-Tech Receives Packaging Award
February 2008 New-Tech was honored by Pemko Manufacturing, receiving its 2007 packaging vendor award. The award was presented for "exceptional service, reliability, and innovation in 2007," and recognizes New-Tech's continued work to improve packaging and processes while reducing costs.
Coppertone in Full Swing
January 2008 In order to produce millions of Coppertone promotional packages by late spring, New-Tech starts early. Schering-Plough awarded the promotional business to New-Tech once again for 2008. The award includes production of aerosol twin packs and lotion on-packs (product with free promotional item). New this year are larger sizes of the extremely popular Coppertone Continuous Spray.
