Developing packages for FedEx has helped New-Tech thrive in the avionics industry

FedEx told us that AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations could be remedied more quickly by creating repair kits that contained all necessary parts for a given repair. New-Tech responded by designing repair and replacement kits to serve that express purpose. Internal partitions create a place for each part or tool, unique to each kit.

FedEx needed returnable, protective containers to send repair components to the field. One repair necessitated that the container make two complete round trips, to handle the core return to the manufacturer and delivery back to FedEx after the repair was complete. New-Tech responded by designing an ATA 300, Category II shipping container lined with polyurethane foam. It is made of durable plastic corrugated with easy-to-use straps and buckles and is used over and over again.

FedEx requested packaging for all manner of aircraft parts: onboard laptops, fuel lines, gyroscopes, windshields, and more. In each of these cases, New-Tech developed packaging that is durable and cost-effective, made from materials suitable for the specific item's weight and durability.

FedEx explained the difficulty of maintaining traceability of small parts, like screws. New-Tech responded by introducing a labeling system to print critical traceability information directly to the bag, and a bagging system to greatly speed the packaging of small parts using an automatic bagging machine.

Each FedEx project has made us a better supplier for the avionics industry.
